Job Description
Under the general direction supervision of the Assistant Director of Nursing, Clinical Supervisor, and/or Registered Nurse, within the license scope, this position evaluates inmates’ healthcare needs, and provides necessary and appropriate nursing care while observing all security requirements.
Shift work required to include weekends, holidays, evenings and nights.

LPN Experience Pay 1 year = ($28.28/hr) 2 years = ($29.06/hr) 3 years = ($29.84/hr) 4+ years = ($30.63/hr)
Signing Bonus*
Less than 3 years of experience = $3,000 3 or more years of experience = $5,000
Tuition Loan Forgiveness Program* (Up to $10,000) with proof of student loan)
- Receive $2,500 upon signing
- $2,500 every year for up to 4 years
- Private or federal student loan(s)
- Any college, nursing or vocational school to obtain LPN degree
*A two year buy back agreement is required.
Day and night shifts available (7a-7p) or (7p-7a)
NO BID SYSTEM
Every other weekend off
10% shift differential for night shift

Additional Information
• High School graduation or equivalent diploma from an institution accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) or licensed as a degree granting institution by the Commission for Independent Education
• Graduation from an accredited LPN program
• Licensed as a LPN in the State of Florida
• Maintain appropriate, unrestricted credentials according to the licensure, certification, and registration requirements of the jurisdiction
• Satisfactory completion of 30 + hour IV Certification
• CPR – BLS or ACLS Certification
• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license
• Consideration for this position requires a credit check
Job Requirements

- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate from an accredited LPN Program

The physical abilities listed below are requirements to perform the essential functions and responsibilities.
• Visual acuity of 20/30 vision standard in each eye; if corrective lenses must be used to satisfy 20/30 vision standard, uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/100 in each eye.
• Hearing acuity, single hearing levels should not exceed 25 decibels at either 500, 1000, or 2000 Hz nor exceed 30 decibels at 3000 Hz frequencies in each ear.
• Must be able to climb stairs for fire drills, Code 99, and other purposes
• Must have full range of motion to administer medical attention and perform CPR on the floor and in other confined areas
• Must be able to pass the annual skills assessment
• Sit up to 3 hours per day
• Stand up to 3 hours per day
• Walk up to 6 hours per day
• Continuously lift up to 10 lbs.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Continuously bend, squat, reach, kneel and twist
