We are hiring Corrections Officers and want you to be a part of our TEAM at the Sevier County Juvenile Facility!

The base minimum starting pay for a newly hired SCJF Corrections Officer is $17.81 per hour, with increasing pay incentives based on education and relevant experience.

This position includes excellent benefits. 12 paid holidays, paid vacation, paid sick leave, yearly training and longevity bonus, 12-hour shifts working 2 days on and 2 days off, retirement with the TN State Retirement System, and competitive health insurance rates. Duties include preparing incident reports, monitoring the activities of juvenile inmates, and consulting with supervisory staff on various operational issues. Job-related duties require experience working with troubled youth, some knowledge of the judicial system as it applies to juvenile corrections, and good organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills. Successful completion of a post-offer physical and drug screen are required before employment.
