HARRISBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania’s House unanimously passed a bill Tuesday that would rename a bridge in the honor of a slain correctional officer.
Citizen’s Voice reports that House Bill 629 would name a Conygham Township bridge after Correctional Officer Eric Williams, who was killed at US Penitentiary at Canaan in 2013.
Williams was an outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time at a cottage he owned on Lily Lake.
The bill will now go to the state Senate for review.
