KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The inmate involved in a UOF incident that left one correctional officer fired has had a burglary charge dropped.

Officers attempting to extract Louis Flack, 52, from a prison cell were disciplined after a surveillance video showed them using “techniques that violated policy,” reports WBIR.

Another officer resigned after the incident, and two more were suspended after an investigation.

A Knox County General Sessions Court not only dropped the burglary charge btu also postponed the hearing for an aggravated assault charge until Thursday. Flack’s attorney says he may file a lawsuit against the county and Sheriff’s office.

One of the officers involved in the beating recently filed a suit against the county.
