JACKSONVILLE — The victim of a motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon has been identified as a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office correctional officer.
The Florida Times-Union reports that Roger Highcove Jr., 21, had been with the agency since May and was the son of police Lt. Roger Highcove.
Highcove’s motorcycle was reportedly passing vehicles in a no-passing zone in the southbound lane. The vehicle ahead of the motorcycle was making a left turn when they collided.
It’s unclear if Highcove was wearing a helmet or not.
