MOBILE, Ala. — Two corrections officers are back at work after an inmate attacked them.
WKRG reports that the attack started when the mentally ill inmate tricked Capt. Sadie Stallworth and another CO into her cell. Warden Trey Oliver said the inmate threw two cups of urine and feces at the COs before she jumped on them and “started to bite them and was trying to claw their eyeballs out.”
Oliver didn’t identify the inmate but said she was on probation and is “safe and sound where she is now.”
The warden said the attack happened a couple of weeks ago and that the officers suffered minor injuries. They returned to work after a couple of days of rest.
