BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — An escaped inmate is being accused of killing two elderly women after plowing into their vehicle in a stolen truck.
WSFA reports that Martin Jay Creasman, 51, escaped from a work release center in north Alabama on April 8. He had given police a false identity, but authorities were able to determine who he was using his finger print.
The two women killed were 69-year-old Linda Jones and 92-year-old Margie “Deanie” Lovell, who were on their way to church at the time of the crash.
