YUMA, Ariz. — Two Arizona Department of Corrections officers have been terminated, and a third forced to resign, following an incident in which excessive use of force was used on an inmate inside Arizona State Prison Complex-Yuma.

AZDOC “recently terminated one correctional officer at ASPC-Yuma for the excessive use of force toward one inmate during a single incident,” said Andrew Wilder, AZDOC Director of Communications.

“One other officer was terminated and another resigned, in lieu of dismissal, for not being truthful during the investigation of the incident.”
