LIVINGSTONE COUNTY, Mich. — A former state corrections officer who told a 911 dispatcher “I want to kill a cop” was sentenced Thursday to 30 days in the Livingston County Jail.

Scott Christian Hathorne, who police said worked as a corrections officers at W.J. Maxey Boys Training School in Green Oak Township, apologized to the court prior to learning his fate for resisting police officers who responded to his Hartland Township home around 10 a.m. Nov. 14 for a welfare check after the 911 call.

“I had everything back then; I have nothing no more,” the 41-year-old defendant said. Livingston County Circuit Judge Michael P. Hatty also ordered Hathorne be electronically monitored for six months after his release from jail and spend two years on probation.
