TUCSON, Ariz. — The Pima County Sheriff’s Office is looking to hire about 25 corrections officers.
Tucson News reports that the new hires will refill positions left empty by those who have moved on to other law enforcement careers or have left the department.
Currently, the Pima County Adult Detention Center houses 2,500 inmates and the ratio of officers to inmates is 1:48.
