BANBURY, Australia – A Banbury Regional Prison inmate earned himself two more months after hitting a corrections officer with a broken soy sauce bottle.
The Banbury Mail reports that inmate David-Lloyd Benger Reynolds refused an order from a CO to return to his cell and instead grabbed a soy sauce bottle. He then smashed it and approached the officer, threatening him with the broken edge.
The officer took ‘evasive action’ to avoid the bottle and Reynolds was eventually restrained. He was then moved to a maximum security facility. It is unclear if the officer was harmed.
Reynolds is currently serving three years and two months for another charge and is now ineligible for parole.
