State delivers records in Okla. inmate lawsuit

Federal judge ordered the delivery earlier this month

OKLAHOMA CITY — The head of the Department of Public Safety has delivered records to attorneys for 21 Oklahoma death row inmates who have filed a lawsuit to block their executions.

KOCO reports that a federal judge ordered the delivery earlier this month, including documents about the April 29 lethal injection of Clayton Lockett.

The state has since developed new methods of execution, but the inmates allege that their executions could still be cruel and violate their constitutional rights.
