CHICAGO — A suburban man arrested on charges of choking his wife was given one phone call from the Maywood lockup.
Janusz Owca used it to call his wife -- and threaten to kill her, Cook County sheriff’s police said.
The 32-year-old Maine Township man is facing charges of aggravated domestic battery and felony intimidation.
Owca’s wife told police her husband came home drunk Sunday evening and pulled her hair and choked her. She fled with her children. When an officer arrived, Owca told the officer: “I’m going to [expletive] you up,” police said.
He was soon put up against a wall and arrested. When he got to the lockup, he made the call, warning his wife he would kill her when he got out of jail, sheriff’s police said.
