ST. CHARLES, Mo. — A woman is facing charges after she allegedly mailed a greeting card laced with marijuana and a prescription drug to an inmate.
KMBC reports that Kimberly Leann McNamara, 22, is charged with delivery of a controlled substance at a county jail, along with possession of marijuana.
She mailed the card to an inmate charged with forgery. A corrections officer intercepted it and discovered marijuana and a white powder later determined to be the painkiller Tramadol.
The letter’s return address showed McNamara’s home address. Police searched her vehicle and discovered marijuana and Tramadol.
She is currently jailed on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
