RICHMOND, Ky. — A man originally facing charges of trespassing is now facing drug charges after attempting to swallow pills he smuggled into the Madison County Jail inside a prosthetic leg.
WKYT reports that Voyd A. Turner was arrested in the parking lot of Wal-Mart in Richomond for public intoxication and criminal trespass.
While being booked into the county jail, Turner tried to swallow drugs he’d hidden inside his prosthetic leg. Officers wrestled with him after they saw the drugs.
Officers found methamphetamine and suboxone on Turner, who was then charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence and promoting contraband.
