LIVINGSTON COUNTY — A man who was part of the 2007 tag-team machete robbery of the Tim Hortons in Geneseo was arrested with his wife for contraband and drug charges after an astute jail Deputy Sheriff noticed a suspicious hand-to-hand interaction between the couple.

According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Jason Hollada, 28, while on parole for Attempted Robbery, was arrested from jail for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, and his wife Andrea Hollada, 41, a registered sex offender, was arrested for Promoting Prison Contraband, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance.

Last Monday, Dec. 15, Corporal Randall Newton of the Livingston County Jail was randomly reviewing security video footage of the previous day’s inmate visitation when he says he saw a female pass contraband to a male inmate in a hand-to-hand transaction during a contact visit. Further investigation discovered that Andrea, with a child present, had concealed a hydrocodone pill on her person which she passed to Jason, and which he immediately swallowed.
