BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — A man has been charged with sending contraband to “violent and high-risk” inmates at two state prisons and the Lake County Jail.

The Herald-Times Online reports that Philip Michael Shelton sent razor blades, knives, cell phones and charges, plastic handcuff keys, super glue and five feet of pliable metal hidden inside books with secret compartments to dangerous inmates inside all three facilities.

Shelton was charged with five felony counts of trafficking with an inmate and was released from Monroe County Jail after he posted $1,000 bond.
