CHILLICOTHE — After smoke was noticed coming from the county jail, an inmate was discovered attempting to heat up a Plexiglass window to get drugs.
The Chillicothe Gazette reports that the inmate, whose name has not been released, was using a disposable lighter on a jail window to poke a hole in it through which to receive drugs. The outside of the window became so hot that it caught on fire shortly after midnight.
The city fire department responded to the call, but only found a blackened area on the outside of the building.
The inmate responsible faces possible felony charges.
