MOULTRIE, Ga. – Officers who found a ‘care package’ full of contraband in the prison yard of the Colquitt County Correctional Institution – including drugs, cigarettes and cell phones – wondered who had left it behind.
Thankfully, according to the Moultrie Observer, Andrea Patrice Stafford had affixed a note to the intended recipient of the contraband, complete with her name.
The contraband included four cell phones, four ounces of marijuana, tobacco and cigarettes. All items were found in four locations in the prison yard, along with the note.
“If it hadn’t been for [the note], [prison officials] would have just put it in a box for disposal later,” said Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office Inv. Chris Robinson.
Stafford now faces 11 felony charges in connection with the contraband. The name of the inmate identified in the letter has not been released.
