BOSTON — More than a dozen corrections officers have taken their lives over recent years in a heartbreaking and disturbing trend, and 5 Investigates digs deeper into what’s pushing them over the edge.
His fellow correction officer was down but somehow still fighting despite the 8-inch shank stuck in his neck by the time burly Ben McGinness jumped in.
McGinness’ flying tackle broke up the attack on Correction Officer Nate Beauvais, but another inmate, jumping from the second tier, joined the fight.
