LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Department of Corrections has an immediate need for 1,000 correctional officers.
WXYZ reports that the state is prepping for a potential mass retirement next year, when 22 percent of its employees become eligible after a mass hiring 25 years ago.
Openings include information technology, nursing, dental, accounting, state police, the state Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and corrections.
