CROWLEY, Colo. — One staffer was killed and another seriously injured in a disturbance involving a prisoner at a state prison in southeast Colorado.
State prison spokeswoman Adrienne Jacobson says a female kitchen staffer was killed and another was wounded Monday in the attack at the state prison in Crowley, which is about 45 miles southeast of Pueblo.
The Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility houses about 1,000 male prisoners and was put on lockdown.
