4 NJ corrections employees honored for outstanding service

Four members of the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office were presented with awards for outstanding service, both on duty and off.

NEWTON, NJ — Four members of the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office were presented with awards for outstanding service, both on duty and off.

According to Advertiser News South, two officers received the Sheriff’s Meritorious Service award: CO William Martin for assisting at a vehicle accident while he was off duty, and CO Jeremy Locke for his actions in restraining a resistant and extremely violent inmate.

Two others were awarded the Sheriff’s Honorable Service award: Sgt. James Milnor and CO Kyle Keller honored for their actions in thwarting an inmate from attempting suicide.
