SAFFORD — The Arizona Department of Corrections will be hosting a statewide “Hound Camp” from Sept. 16 through Sept. 20. Safford has hosted the camp for the past five years.
Hounds are used throughout the state in fugitive recovery and search and rescue. Training completed at the camp allows hounds and handlers to better support their communities.
While community support is appreciated, the Arizona Department of Corrections requests that no one approach the law enforcement teams during these exercises.
