Calif. Rehabilitation Center employees give to children

Calif. — Employees at the California Rehabilitation Center, one of 33 adult institutions in California, are sending season greetings and toys to many of Riverside County children.

Operation Angel Tree is a charitable gift event organized annually by the Salvation Army with a 100 year history in the Riverside area. This year 150 children will receive gifts from this event.

CRC is a medium Level II correctional facility with an inmate population consists of felon commitments as well as Civil Addicts. It is also the home of over 1300 California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation staff members.

CRC has participated in Angel Tree for the last 7 years. “We are blessed to be able to give to others who are less fortunate, and we wish we could have given more”, says Warden Cynthia Tampkins.
