MIAMI — An independent auditor has been enlisted by the Florida Department of Corrections to review use of force policies in state detention facilities.
The Pensacola News Journal reports that the audit will be performed in the coming weeks by the Association of State Correction Administrators, a national body of experts in the corrections field.
The auditors will work to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and dangers in the current system through on-site inspections and review of DOC policies.
