JUNEAU — A 29-year-old inmate at Waupun Correctional Institution was sentenced to an additional 13 years in the state prison system Monday for stabbing a corrections officer in the face with a pair of scissors on Dec. 24, 2012.
Abdishakur Noor Muddey pleaded guilty to one count of battery by prisoner as a repeat offender. A charge of substantial battery with a dangerous weapon was dismissed and read in to the record.
Judge Brian Pfitzinger ordered the 13-year sentence, broken into nine years of initial confinement and four years of extended supervision, to run consecutive to any sentence previously imposed.
