HUTCHINSON — A Hutchinson Correctional Facility inmate was found guilty of battery of a law enforcement officer for an incident last year.
Hays Post reports that inmate Douglas Anthony Kling attacked correctional officer Jason Garcia.
A jury found him guilty after an hour and 15 minutes of deliberation.
Kling was convicted in Marshall County for attempted murder, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery, aggravated assault and criminal threat. He also has convictions for burlary.
He will be sentenced for his newest conviction on May 8, and is currently not eligible for parole until November 2040.
