The OC Register reports that Rudy Duran struck a plea bargain with prosecutors to get charges of voluntary manslaughter and second-degree robbery dropped. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to murder.

Duran then testified for prosecutors in the trial of Nuzzio Begaren, who was convicted of hiring gang members to gun down Elizabeth Begaren, his wife, who worked as a state correctional officer.
