FAYETTEVILLE, NC — A Moore county man was charged after exposing his private parts to two detention officers, the sheriff’s office siad.

Tarus Flowers, 37, of the 1000 block of Old Lumberton Road in Maxton, was at the Moore County Detention Center when he intentionally showed his private parts to two detention officers while they were conducting rounds in the house unit, Sheriff Neil Godfrey said.

Flowers was charged with two counts of indecent exposure.

Bail was set at $5,000 and is scheduled to appear in the Moore County District Court in Carthage on July 14.

Flowers has been previously charged with indecent exposure in 2011. He also has past charges involving drugs and assault, according to records.

Records show Tarus is also facing a charge of communicating threats in a different case and will appear in court on July 10 for that charge.
