NH correctional officer indicted for spitting at inmate

BRENTWOOD — A Rockingham County jail correctional officer has been charged with spitting at an inmate.

William Eusebio was recently indicted by a grand jury in Rockingham Superior Court.

He is charged with attempted simple assault and criminal threatening by an on-duty law enforcement officer.

The incident occurred Feb. 10 while the inmate was sitting in his jail cell, according to the indictments. No other details were outlined in the indictments

If Eusebio is convicted, he faces two to five years in state prison on each count.

The indictments come only a week after another correctional officer, Dennis Verrill, was sentenced to nine months in jail for smuggling morphine to an inmate.
