Ohio CO hostage situation comes to peaceful end

A corrections officer being held hostage by three inmates has been released unharmed

WARREN, Ohio — A corrections officer being held hostage by three inmates has been released unharmed.

According to FOX News, CO Joe Lynn was released around 8:30 P.M. He was tackled and handcuffed by three inmates – David Martin, Richard Ware and Kevin Johns – on the third floor of the Trumbull County Jail.

The inmates then barricaded the doors of the pod they were in with bed sheets.

Lynn has been taken to a Trumbull County hospital to be evaluated. He did not suffer any serious injuries.

The three inmates involved have been sent to a maximum security facility in Youngstown.
