HAMILTON, Ohio — A Hamilton man was charged with assault on a corrections officer following a disturbance this morning in the Middletown City Jail.
Corrections officers said they responded to the cell to speak with Ryan Scott, 28, of Pleasant Avenue, about exiting his cell and finishing his original booking process. During the process, Scott was uncooperative and officers were unable to fingerprint and DNA swab him, according to the police report.
When they tried to get him out of the cell, he allegedly pulled away from officers April Lambert and Jordan Schenck and continued to kick his feet, according to the police report. Lambert used her Taser and struck Scott in the left rib cage area.
Scott continued to kick his feet, then he was struck in his forehead by Lambert’s hand.
He was then escorted to another cell for lockdown, police said.
He was arrested Wednesday for failure to comply, according to police records.
