PPSS Group is introducing its new Cell Extraction Vest, intended to protect corrections officers responding to riots, cell extractions, mass searches or major disturbances.
Weighing in at 16 pounds, the body armor is designed using body molded panels of a highly secretive material, which has been tested to the strict NIJ 0115.00 Level III (stab + spike) standard.
Molle webbing is spread over both the front and the back of the vest.
It is designed to withstand extreme blunt force trauma, such as a kick or a punch, or even an attacker using an item such as a fire extinguisher, table or gym weight. It is also designed to protect against edged weapons, such as shanks and razor blades.
The vest provides protection around the entire upper body, extended neck area, shoulders and groin while still providing maneuverability.
