ALBUQUERQUE, NM — The fight regarding sex offenders living near a day care in a downtown Albuquerque apartment complex on 4th and Pacific, known as “The Dorm,” continues to plague both sides of the argument.
KOB first discovered this story after responding to allegations from angry parents living in the area that pointed us to a dormitory-style apartment housing 18 sex offenders less than 1,000 feet from a daycare.
Further investigation showed us that 14 sex offenders living near the day care were on parole or probation, deeming their living situation to be a violation of not only city law, but New Mexico Department of Corrections rules.
