PROVIDENCE, RI — An ACI prisoner returning from the yard took a swing at a correctional officer on Saturday.
According to ABC News, the inmate missed during the initial attack but then came at the officer with a razor blade. He missed the officer a second time and was instead sprayed with pepper spray by responding officers.
This incident occurs after the Correctional Officer Union has put out several warnings concerning an increase in violence in the prison.
