CENTERVILLE — A man barricaded himself in his parent’s house after walking away from the Davis County Jail Friday, according to police.
The residences surrounding the home in the area of were evacuated as the SWAT situation unfolded, according to Centerville police assistant Chief Paul Child. The man exited the house at about 3:40 p.m. and was taken into custody without incident.
The 34-year-old man walked away from a secure work facility at the Davis County Jail at about 9 a.m., according to Child. He said Centerville Police Department was asked to check the home.
