Tennessee Bureau of Investigation special agents charged a Trousdale County corrections officer with misuse of information Friday night.
At the request of District Attorney General Tommy Thompson, TBI agents on Feb. 14 began an investigation on a suspended Trousdale County Sheriff’s Office corrections officer. The investigation involved Donna Marshall, 43, into allegations of misusing county resources.
On Jan. 17, agents said the investigation indicated Marshall misused county resources by gaining an individual’s information from their driving record and then using that information to gain leverage in an attempt to coerce the individual to participate in tax fraud, which would financially benefit Marshall.
On Friday, Marshall was charged with one count of misuse of official information.
She was in the Trousdale County Jail on Saturday on a $500 bond.
The investigation remained active and ongoing.
