NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tenn. DOC has launched a toll free, 24-hour tip hotline dedicated to receiving tips related to correctional operations.

According to Clarksville Online, the phone line will enable any person to report correctional issues, so that they might be investigated and resolved by the agency. The phone line is part of an ongoing effort to increase communication with the public.

Information reported to the hotline will be kept confidential, but there was no word if calls would be anonymous.

“Enhancing public safety is at the very core of the Department of Correction’s mission and we value the public’s input,” said Commissioner Derrick Schofield. “The Department views the public as a great partner and this phone line augments our access to this valuable resource.”

The new number is 1-844-TDC-FIND (1-844-832-3463).
