AUSTIN – Thousands are expected to honor fallen law enforcement officers and corrections officers at the Peace Officer’s Memorial at the state capitol on Monday.
KVUE reports that the day’s events will begin with a parade from the Congress Avenue Bridge to the Capitol Steps, followed by a memorial service.
Monday’s events will be the last part of a three-day event to honor fallen officers and their families, sponsored by Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas (CLEAT).
The event started Saturday with a motorcycle ride from Round Rock to the Texas State Capitol.
