Inmate gets more time for hiding synthetic marijuana

GOWANDA, NY — An inmate currently serving a seven-year sentence for armed robbery faces another four years for smuggling synthetic marijuana into the Gowanda Correctional Facility.

Officers found more than two ounces of the drug more commonly known as “K2” or “Spice” inside Eldin Collado’s cell, as well as in latex balloons lodged in his groin and anus, according to WIVB.

He plead guilty Friday to first degree attempted promoting prison contraband and will be sentenced in January.
