GOSHEN, NY — Marijuana tainted with another illegal substance sent nine Orange County Jail inmates to the hospital

UPI reports that an inmate arrested for a probation violation smuggled in marijuana laced with an additional, unnamed narcotic.

He shared the pot with either other prisoners; all nine inmates became visibly ill in their cell block’s exercise yard.

They were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for side effects of the cocktail of drugs.

The incident is still under investigation, but the inmate who smuggled the drugs in is expected to be charged with promoting prison contraband and other charges related to the hospitalization of the men.
