2 Ky. inmates escape from Blackburn complex

Cody Allison, 23, and Paul Nance, 32, walked away from the minimum-security state prison

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Two inmates escaped Sunday from Blackburn Correctional Complex in Lexington, according to authorities.

Cody Allison, 23, and Paul Nance, 32, walked away from the minimum-security state prison. They were confirmed missing at 5:21 p.m., according to a news release from the facility.

Allison, of Hopkins County, was serving a 20-year sentence for burglary and other crimes. He would have been eligible for parole in June 2016. Allison is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Nance was serving 30 years for convictions in Hopkins County, including receiving stolen property. He would have been eligible for parole in February 2018. Nance is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, is bald and has blue eyes.

Authorities have asked that anyone with information about the two call Kentucky State Police at (502) 227-2221 or Lexington police at (859) 258-3600.
