ORANGEBURG, S.C. - A second inmate who escaped from a South Carolina detention center has been captured.
WACH reports that Tyshon Johnson, one of three inmates who escaped from the Orangeburg County Detention Center on Saturday, was apprehended Tuesday. Johnson, 27, escaped along with Christopher Boltin, 27, and Curtis Green, 20.
The three inmates escaped after overpowering a correctional officer, authorities said. Boltin was captured Sunday and appeared in court Tuesday, where he was charged with the escape. His bond was set at $250,000.
Boltin’s father, Hoyte, and 22-year-old Dekwon Hillard were charged with assisting the escape.
Investigators continue to search for Green. Johnson and Green are both facing murder charges in separate incidents.
