WARTBURG, Tenn. — Prison officials say an inmate has escaped the Morgan County Correctional Complex in East Tennessee.
Authorities were searching Saturday for Robert Lee Grant, a minimum security inmate who escaped the prison in Wartburg on Friday by climbing over a fence just before midnight.
WATE-TV, Channel 6, reported Grant was serving a six-year sentence on drugs and reckless endangerment charges.
Tennessee Department of Correction internal affairs, Tennessee Highway Patrol and local law enforcement are searching for Grant.
