Fourth escaped Mo. inmate brought back into custody

Four of five escaped inmates have been recaptured

BOWLING GREEN, Mo. — A fourth inmate that escaped late Saturday from the Pike County Jail in Bowling Green is now back in custody.

Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte reports that Joseph A. Verive, 49, of Elsberry, Mo., was taken back into custody when officers located him on Pike 411, less than 1 mile from Highway 161.

The search continues for William John Thomas Wilkerson Jr, 40 of Florissant.

Three of the escaped inmates are in custody in Oklahoma. Jacob A Darnell 22, Jason A Darnell 25 and Emanuel G. Chatman 27 all of Louisiana, MO were taken into custody around 2:00am Monday morning in Midwest City, OK.
