ROBINSON, Ill. — Authorities have released more photos of an inmate who escaped from custody after walking away from a work crew on Friday.
Jared Carter, 30, escaped while he was cutting grass on the grounds of the Robinson Correctional Center. Police said the tattoos will be hard for Carter to conceal and hope the images will lead to more tips.
The crew was supervised and working outside the walls of the minimum security prison, about 110 miles southeast of Champaign near the Indiana border.
