TONOPAH, Nev. — Nevada prison officials say an inmate has gone missing from a facility where inmates work with the state forestry.

The Nevada Department of Corrections says 47-year-old Steven R. Perry walked away from Tonopah Conservation Camp sometime before 8 a.m. Sunday.

A minimum-security inmate, Perry has been serving 36 to 84 months for burglary since June 2015.

He is described as 5-foot-7, white, 150 pounds and he has long grey hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt with a blue button-down shirt and white sneakers.

Tonopah Conservation Camp is located 12 miles northeast of the old mining town Tonopah.

The all-male facility is where most inmates end up on fire crews and get training from the Nevada Division of Forestry.
