HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jimmy Kimmel, who voiced his views on the government shutdown on Monday, is helping federal employees who are still working without pay.
Kimmel is employing federal workers until the shutdown is over, KTLA reports.
Monday, Kimmel brought corrections officer John Kostelnik of the Federal Correctional Complex in Victorville on his show.
“I wanted to do our part to pitch in, and so tonight and every night until the shutdown is over, we are going to put a federal employee to work here at the show,” Kimmel said, bringing Kostelnik on stage.
After the segment, Kimmel invited Kostelnik to take up a tambourine and join the show’s band.
