North Dakota’s congressional delegation says the state’s Corrections Department is getting $295,500 in federal money to help fight juvenile crime.
Sens. Kent Conrad and Byron Dorgan and Rep. Earl Pomeroy say the money is through the Justice Department’s Juvenile Accountability Block Grant program.
The Democratic delegation said special programs for juvenile offenders are important in reducing the potential for a life of crime.
